King Roman also visited his father's tomb at Brama 4 Warsaw, in 1992, and discovered the inscriptions Count of Lubraniec and Grand Duke/Prince of Lithuania.
In February 1993, Princess Paulina died in Warsaw, and letters patent subsequently acknowledged His Royal Highness, Prince Roman II, Grand Duke of Lithuania, dated 12 February 1993.
Princess Paulina's father was Prince Wladislaw Gedroyc (1862-1943, Zubracze). Prince Gedroyc was elevated to Grand Duke/Prince for Lithuania in 1569 by King Zygmunt II of Poland. Russia granted various letters patent to Princes Gedroyc through the 19th century, at Vilnius and St Petersburg.
